Ring Lights and Their Batteries

Ring light guide

Ring lights are circular lights used for video, photography, and live streaming, lighting a face evenly from all sides. This guide explains ring lights in general terms, including built-in batteries and colour temperature, and the lighting model pages give the per-model specifications.

Built-in batteries and separate batteries

A ring light with a built-in battery carries its own power, so it can be used without a mains connection or a separate battery. A built-in battery cannot be swapped like a separate battery: when it runs out, the light must be recharged, not given a fresh battery. A buyer who needs continuous lighting should plan for charging time, or choose a light that can run on mains as well.

A video light battery, by contrast, is a separate battery that powers a light, and it can be swapped for a fresh one. The lighting category presents both: a video light battery and a ring light with a built-in battery, and the distinction should be clear before ordering.

Colour temperature and lighting

Colour temperature describes a light's colour, from warm to cool, measured in Kelvin. Warm light suits indoor and evening scenes, cool light suits daylight and outdoor scenes, and a light with a range covers both. The video light battery model states a colour temperature range of 3200K-5600K, covering warm to daylight.

A buyer should match the light's colour to the scene, not just its brightness: a light with the wrong colour will make a scene look wrong, however bright it is. Check the model page's colour temperature figure, and confirm in the inquiry.

What to confirm before ordering

Name the model, the exact lighting need it must serve, the quantity you have in mind, and the market you sell into. Ask for the specification for the exact model, the minimum order quantity, the lead time with its meaning, the warranty terms, and the certificates that apply to your market, by name, with documents attached.

Before payment, confirm the minimum order quantity, lead time and warranty terms for your order. Certificates are available upon request.
